Shocked and Sad

Dear John,
You may not remember me from high school but I have good memories of fun times and much laughing. Was cruising through the MVHS website and ran across a note that mentioned your name in past tense. I found myself here on this beautiful tribute looking for confirmation.
They say that only the good die young. From what I remember of you and how much you meant to all your friends who've paid tribute to you, it must be true.
With fond memories, Kathy Cartier-Whorley

Joe. Thinking of you today. Had a dream about you last night. Some people say that when you dream about someone that is gone....they are visiting you. Thanks for coming by.

Joe on my mind

Joe, kicking off the 2010 Sand Event here in Virginia Beach and you flooded my thoughts. I miss the "physical" you but savor your "spirit" which will always remain. The memories are very, very fond ones (even if perplexing at times). Miss your great stories, the "fun" of you, your sand creations and your friendship. The gift of being you just keeps on giving...in memories. You, my "larger than life" friend are greatly missed. Another feather in your cap.
Aloha, Donna

'Joe'morials

Wow, 3 years. Unbelievable Joe.
We miss you more and more all the time. Our lives continue on here with many changes. Some good, some bad. The sand events just aren't the same without you. Something was lost when you left us that we will never get back.

I am still leaving your ashes in any new place we go to but the 'laughter jar' (where I keep you) is diminishing. I am finding it harder to carry on with the 'joe'morials because I know one day there will be no ashes left and that will mean a closure that I am not ready for yet.

Since the last posting... you are now in
Curacao...in the casino at the resort.
Phoenix, Arizona. and
Maribella, Fl.. The Trump property. Nothin but the best for you Joe.

Until next year...
Heres' a jello shot and yada yada yada
Love ya,

JOE, this Saturday, August 29th will be 3 years since you have gone. I love you Joe, and I think about you every day, as many of your sand friends do. There are so many. Jill, Suzanne, Meridith, just to name some. They are the ones that have your ashes and have spread them all over as you wanted them to. I will make some JELLO shots and party for you.

Miss you, Joe

Joe,

Your humor was beyond compare. I really miss your observations and honest opinions...always delivered with a sharp, hilarious twist.

You are missed!

I did not have the chance to mention in the previous message that I met Joe's sister. She and her husband are two of the most amazing people that I have ever met. To them I say Hello. If you meet them, give them a hug. They are the nicest people you will meet. I think Joe would liked that.
