Your humor was beyond compare. I really miss your observations and honest opinions...always delivered with a sharp, hilarious twist.

Here's to Joe!
Nancy (co worker) August 29, 2007I did not have the chance to mention in the previous message that I met Joe's sister. She and her husband are two of the most amazing people that I have ever met. To them I say Hello. If you meet them, give them a hug. They are the nicest people you will meet. I think Joe would liked that.

Meredith (Friend) August 26, 2007Joes' last request
In a few days it will be 1 year since Joe has died. It is easy to say that this untimely event has changed many lives.
When Joe died he requested that his ashes be spread far and wide. He wanted to go anywhere that his sandsculpting family was and to any sand events all over the world. This act of love was taken very seriously by the many people that he left this task to. There is still much of Joe to be spread throughout the world. On this 1 year anniversary, here is a list of all the places where Joe will remain forever. If you are in any of these locations just toast a jello shot to Joe and yada, yada, yada.
Sept. 06 - Waikiki, Hawaii. Behind the Royal Hawaiin Hotel
Nov. 06 - Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. Behind the Outrigger Resort.
Feb. 07 - Daytona, Fl. Under the Supertron in a sand sculpture at the Daytona Speedway.
March 07 - Treasure Island, Fl. - In a pirate sculpture on the beach behind Sloppy Joe's Restaurant.
April 07 - Panama City Bach, Fl. - In the sand marshmellow Easter egg (Joes' favorite Easter candy) at Schooners. 'The Last Local Beach Bar'.

A strange Joe phrase developed last year in Lommel (June of '06). In fact, looking back, it was scary. Joe started joking about

Late night on the

of Joe when he told

Joe will always be

Here's to joe.
Sadly I never met
Joe. I have heard
some great stories
from my friends in
the sand sculpting
world. Bless you
Joe, your work and
life inspires me.
Joe used to babysit
me when my mom,
Minnie, was
younger. I
remember waking up
and going to the
refidgerator and
pouring myself a
glass of orange
juice and spitting
it out! It was
full of Vodka!!!
Joe was laughing
and said
